Monica "Teddy" Brock

Monica Diez “Teddy” Brock, age 79, a resident of Prairieville, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Teddy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who found joy in caring for her family and especially loved spoiling her grandchildren. She had a deep passion for fishing and cherished time spent outdoors. Her warmth and dedication left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Woodrow W. Brock; her daughter, Candice Brock Courville (Shane); her son, Lance Brock (Shawnee); five grandchildren, Mackenzie Plorin (Dan), Bree Yates (Aaron), Chase Brock, Jonah Brock, and Ava Brock; and two great-granddaughters, Saylor Michelle Yates and Oakley Mae Brock. Teddy is also survived by her siblings: Bradley and Donna Diez, Jerry and Kay Diez, Robin and Danny Reulet, Lynn DeSoto, and Renee and Steve Haines; brother-in-law, Richard and Connie Brock; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; and her beloved furry companion, Cocoa. She was preceded in death by her son, Chad Brock; granddaughter, Martha Elizabeth Brock; parents, Bradley and Thilda Arceneaux Diez; sister, Debbie Loupe; sister-in-law, Delores Diez; and her best friend Kathleen “Tina” Cambre. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Audubon Home Health and Hospice for the compassionate care they provided.
