My condolences to the Aucoin family.  Mark and I were classmates and teammates from grade school through high school so I know his family very well.  I hadn't seen him in a while but we reconnected years ago on Facebook and I am glad that we did.  You will be missed...rest in peace my friend.🙏🏾😥💔

I can not recall one time that Mark wasn't smiling! Through elementary school and high school, he was the guy that was ALWAYS fun to be around. After we graduated, I would keep up with him while visiting with Ms. Fran when I saw her and then of course social media where we could see his love for his family and The Tide! Mark - this world is a little darker without your smile! Love and prayers to Alice and the kids! Ms. Fran - he got his zest for life from you! Sending love and prayers to the entire family!

I am so sorry for your loss.  I've known Mark since we were kids at Galvez and last saw him a few years ago coaching our kids at Butch Gore.  He hadn't changed much.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.      

We (coworkers) were all so shocked to hear of Mark's passing.  He and I were two oddballs in the building when it came to football.  With pretty much everyone being LSU fans, being a Clemson fan isn't always enjoyable and being a Bama fan had to be worse!  Mark and I got to know each other a bit over the past few years of Clemson and Bama duking it out for the Championship.  It was a kinship of odd men out.  I remember the first year Clemson won, he didn't speak to me for a month!  After the second win, I asked him to give me a date he would talk to me again so I could put it on my calendar and be prepared.  He got over that loss much more quickly than the first.  It was something we had a lot of fun with and I was looking forward to that again this year.  I had been expecting him to visit any day to talk about the season so far.  My heart goes out to his family.  He was such a great guy and taken from us all way too soon.

Mark was a great guy. He was always a pleasure to be around and I’ll never forgot his little smile he always had on his face. It was a pleasure being friends  from 3rd grade at Galvez to graduating with him at  St Amant High in 1990 then recently reconnecting with him at our Galvez class  of ‘86 reunions. I will miss us picking back and forth about Bama and LSU.  I’m so blessed to have all these memories. You leave so many friends and family behind, but we will see you again in our next life. Prayers to Mark and his family. 

Alice, Carlie, Luke and Bryant, we are so sorry to hear about Mark.  He was a fabulous coach to the girls and I’ll always remember and appreciate what good care he took of Sarah when we were unable to go to Sulfur with the Lady Raiders.   Know you will be in our thoughts.  Keith, Elaine, Allison and Sarah Soileau 

I first met Mark in Bellechasse, La. we worked at ConocoPhillips, he was my co-worker. We became good friend at Jacobs when we worked on Exxon projects. He showed me empathy when I shared my life with him, I then realized that Mark was a good man, great father and a loving husband. I will miss my little buddy, we would go out to eat lunch every week. I could never say no to him despite how hard I tried. He loved his FAMILY, CAR, DOG, & ALABAMA FOOTBALL.

I went to school with Markie (thats what we all called him). He was the sweetest guy. Im so sorry to hear he has passed. I know he will be missed by many. Prayers for the family. 

Mark, words cannot express the shock, disappointment, and sorrow we are all experiencing from your passing. You never turned away from any request, task or need to put in extra hours to get work done. Not only did you provide a great service for us at Worley (Jacobs), you obviously were a great provider for your family. It has been a pleasure and an honor to have worked with such a peaceful soul. You will be deeply missed by all of us at Worley, both in Baton Rouge and in India as well.

So many childhood memories with Mark or as we called him Markie.  Even though I hadn't seen him in awhile I would often run into his mom around Gonzales and she would always fill me in on what he was doing.  He will definitely be missed by many. Sending prayers to all of his family and friends.

 Great memories..!

Great guy, I remember going to an 8th grade dance and his sister brought us to school in her Camaro and we thought we were so cool.  Recently got back in touch via social media and glad I did. Rest in peace old friend. 

This is very sad for me.  Ole Marky was everyone’s best friend. My brother, John, talked with him not long ago.  What a great soul.  I’m not sure he had a mean bone in his body.  He was always pleasurable to speak with and be around..... except for that Bama nonsense. 

Even though I have not seen him in quite awhile, there is definitely a very large hole in the heart of the Niquiporo Boys because our dear friend has moved on to better things.    Rest In Peace, ole boy.  Hold the gate for us, we will see you at the crossroads. 

Mark was a great co-worker.  His word was his bond.  His calm demeanor and solid competence was an inspiration to all those who had the pleasure of working with him.

I have so many school memories with Mark. We all loved him. I am praying for all of you, he will be missed by so many. I love that I was able to spend time with him recently at our Galvez Reunion.   I’m just heartbroken for you all.

Mr. Aucoin was one of the nicest guys I have ever met at work. I started working at Worley (formerly JACOBS) in January, and I remember him making me feel so welcome. He would always pop in the Building Services office to say "Hi" and of course "Roll Tide!" He would occasionally bring donuts and desserts to me and some of the other ladies in the Reproduction Dept. He always put others first, and found some way to encourage and brighten our day. He will certainly be missed around here. Praying for peace and comfort for his family.

Mr. Aucoin is survived by his wife, Alice May Aucoin; daughter, Carlie Aucoin; sons, Bryant Aucoin, Luke Aucoin; mother, Frances Ward Burns; sister, Cynthia Avrill and husband Andrew and brother, Marvin Allen Aucoin and wife Claudia. He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Henry Aucoin, Sr.
