Linda Anne Lemanski

Linda (Medine) Lemanski passed away at home with her husband by her side in Gonzales on June 27, 2017 after a 12 year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Linda was born in White Castle, La. to Allen and Joan Medine on June 19, 1954. Linda’s illness had forced her into retirement from the daycare business she loved so much. Some of her special memories from her work were from her time as director of Precious Children Childcare that was located in Prairieville, La. Linda was an outstanding cook that could make a fabulous meal out of what ever was available at the time. Her positive cheerful attitude no matter what her situation was infectious to everyone she met. Linda is survived by her loving husband Jim, daughters Aiyana Cotton of Verona, Ms., Letitia (Alejandro) Gonzalez of Lake Jackson,Tx., Meagan (Chris) Allen of Collierville, Tn. Grandson’s Rodie Kai Green and Arlo King Cotton. Granddaughter Vivian Kay Allen. Linda is also survived by her mother Joan Medine, sisters Debbie Medine, Ramona (John) Shaffer and brothers David (Tammy) Medine, Keith (Roxanne) Medine and Scott Medine. Numerous nieces and nephews. And also her goddaughter Kyrsten Medine who was a special help in the final months of Linda’s life. Linda was preceded in death by her father Allen Medine. Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales,La. on Saturday July 1, 2017 from 9am to 11am, followed by a memorial service and reception.
