Lillie Mae “Dolly” Jumonville, a resident of Sorrento, La passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the age of 88. She worked at the Garment Factory in Gonzales and then went on to work for the United States Postal Service for 35 years. She started as a mail carrier and worked her way up to Post Master. Dolly is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Harris Martinez, and 56 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Joseph Dalton Jumonville; parents, Joseph and Georgina Tullier and her brothers and sisters, George Tullier Sr., Ambrose Allen, Lawrence Allen Jr., Robert Allen, Elmire DeRocha, Hazel LeBlanc and Bertha Tullier. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov 21, 2024, from 9 am until the mass of Christian burial at 11 am at St. Anne’s Catholic Church 7348 Main St, Sorrento, LA 70778.
