Leona Henderson

Leona Henderson, a native of Iaeger, West Virginia and resident of Gonzales, LA, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the age of 81. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and great-great grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Leona was a faithful member of the Pentecostals of Ascension Church. She is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Dan Henderson; sons, Glenn Henderson Sr. and wife, Cecelia and Daryl Henderson; sister, Anice Gilkerson; grandchildren, Zandrea Henderson, Glenn Henderson Jr., and Alex Henderson; great-grandchildren, Skylar, Citlali, Jayleigh, Ava-Claire, and Bella-Grace. Leona is preceded in death by her parents, Harper and Virgie Cline and her 7 siblings. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Pentecostals of Ascension Church from 10:00 am until a Life Celebration Service at 12:00 pm.
