A lifelong resident of St. Amant, he passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012, at the age of 86. He served in the U.S. Navy, was an architect, a carpenter, and a member of Carpenter’s Local 1098. He was survived by his wife of 64 years, Doris Templet Savoy; sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn and Irma Gautreau Savoy, Conrad Sr. and Debra Jacob Savoy, Ricky and Tiffany Babin Savoy; daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Lee Gaudin, Debra and David Amedee, Windy and Johnny Hernandez; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brother, Elphage “Preacher” Savoy; and sister, Margie Savoy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Artemise Bourgeois and Leo Savoy; brother, George Savoy; and sister Verba Vicknair. There will be a visitation at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Jon Koehler, celebrant. Entombment will be in the church Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Ron Savoy, Conrad Savoy Jr., Brad Gaudin, Daniel Hernandez, Collin Hernandez, Rhett Gautreaux, and Blake Savoy.
