Lauren Elizabeth Chidester passed in the loving arms of her parents and surrounded by her family on October 25, 2019. She was the daughter of Seth and Ashley Chidester. She was the blessing they prayed for and the miracle they fought for right up to the end. She is survived by her siblings Kayden, Sean, Katie, and Eli. Her grandparents are Amy Rossi, Vickie Serou, Tony and Maria Arceneaux. Great Grandparents, Herbert and Sharon Cowart, Danny and Virginia Arceneaux.
Born October 23, 2019, nearly 9 weeks early and weighing 1lb 12oz., she was a girl determined to lead her own path, however brief that might be. She had long, slender fingers, lots of dark hair like her momma, and the perfect little feet. She liked listening to her mama talk about her older brothers and sister. She was able to grasp her families’ fingers. She lit up when she heard her Granny’s voice. Like her mama she gave most of her medical team a hard time, but left them with a smile.
Lauren’s story has brought so many together in love and hope. She and her parents have reminded us that strength and courage are found in unlikely places. Miracles really do come in teeny, tiny, adorable packages.
“There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world.”
