Tasha Gayden’s smile and jokes could lift a sad person’s spirit up faster than they got down. The way she giggled with her whole heart will never be forgotten. She loved her family unconditionally and later in life was always so proud to be the oldest. Sister Latasha Gayden was born on September 17, 1980 at Earl K Long in Baton Rouge. Her mother and father, Janie Gayden and the late Huey Gayden, were proud of the beautiful soul that she was. She departed this life on January 9, 2021 at Baton Rouge General Hospital. One of Tasha’s last confessions of her love for Jesus Christ was via a social media post “When the Devil thought he had you but Jesus came and grabbed you.” Tasha leaves to cherish her memories with her two sons, Reginald Harris and Matthew Harris; her mother Janie Gayden; one sister Shantel Gayden; one brother Andrew Gayden (Natalie Gayden); her fiance’ Nick Ray; one aunt Carrie Ward; five uncles Michael Gayden (Lasonia Gayden), Jerry Gayden (Jacquetta Gayden), Paul Gayden Sr (Leila Gayden), Troy Gayden, and Cedric Ward (Cheni Ward); and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Ourso Funeral Home located at 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, LA 70737 from 11 am until the memorial services for 1:00 pm.
