Born April 18, 1955, Kim Joseph LeBlanc, a resident of Gonzales, La and a native of Sorrento passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. He was 69 years old and the successful owner of LeBlanc’s Cajun Seasoning.
Kim was proud to be the 2002 Jambalaya Festival Association Champion of the World. Kim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, cooking, building, and repairing almost anything. Kim previously worked for Kleinpeter Farms as an independent contractor before turning his love for culinary into his livelihood by catering, creating his own seasoning, and opening his own business. He was active in the community, served as a Councilman for the town of Sorrento, and was known for always being willing to help others.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Millet LeBlanc; son, Kacey LeBlanc (Chelsea); daughter, Karlie LeBlanc; stepson, Jared Burch (Tiffany); grandchildren, Caroline, Kace and Collin LeBlanc, Grayson, Ridge, Blayke, and Parker Burch; sisters, Connie Gautreau, Caryla Guitreau (John) and Rae Lyne Melancon (Paul) and a host of in-laws and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, George “Junior” LeBlanc and Ruby LeBlanc; brother-in-law, Reed Gautreau; his favorite aunt, Dolly LeBlanc; and uncle, Danny LeBlanc.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery in Gonzales.
