Joyce Berthelot Loupe Weber, died peacefully at her residence in Hammond on Saturday, May 7, 2022 following a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was 83 years old and a native of Whitehall, LA. She was blessed with many talents and enjoyed cooking, candy making, cake decorating, ceramics, sewing, and decorating her home for holidays. Other pass times include playing cards, bingo, Pokeno, and slot machines. Her children describe her as being good at anything she set her mind to do. She is fondly remembered for the delicious meals and sweets she prepared with love. She is survived by her children Dean Loupe (Sonia), Daren Loupe, Deidre Loupe Williams (Bobby), Danna Loupe McCoy, and Darci Loupe Delatte (Dennis); 10 grandchildren Bobby Williams, Daryl Williams, Joseph Loupe, Chad McCoy, Kassie Montgomery, Ory Loupe, Jacie McCoy, Kayla Wilkinson, Kaylie Davis, and Nicholas Delatte; 13 great-grandchildren Joseph Edwards, Mason McCoy, Morgan McCoy, Carter Wilkinson, Blayke Williams, Addison Loupe, Graham Montgomery, Mila Wilkinson, Ryleigh Williams, Evangeline Loupe, Kennedy Williams, Sadie Wilkinson, and James Montgomery; siblings Clarence (JJ) Berthelot (Yvette), Mary Louise Leader (Hubert), Claudia Hoover, Scharlene Acosta, and Sue Berthelot. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years Joseph B Loupe, second husband Eddie Weber; parents Herman and Ora Berthelot; son Daryl Joseph Loupe; son-in-law Matthew McCoy; brothers-in-law Herbert Hoover Jr. and Roger Acosta. Special thanks from her family to the care givers at Azalea Estates in Gonzales, The Phoenix at Hammond, and Bridgeway Hospice for the care and compassion provided. Visitation will be at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Maurepas on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 9:00 AM until funeral services at 11:00 AM. Celebrant will be Deacon Jimmy Little. Interment will follow at Whitehall Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
