Joyce Margaret Plauche

Joyce Margaret Plauche passed away April 3, 2017 in Baton Rouge. She was 76 years old. Joyce was born on November 24, 1940 in Cottonport, LA and resided in Prairieville. Joyce is survived by her 5 sons: Joey Plauche, Ricky Plauche, Keith Plauche, Melvin Plauche, Jr. and Whalen Plauche; 4 daughters: Rachael Madere, Cynthia Harrington, Mona Winstead and Dawn Ray; 2 sisters: Nell Ducote and Katherine Bordelon; 28 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her Father, Lewis Dixon; Mother, Mildred Dixon; husband, Melvin Plauche, Sr.; 4 brothers; 3 sisters; daughter Trudy McLain and son-in-law Jerry Winstead. Visitation will be on Friday, April 7, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Hwy 73 in Prairieville from 1PM until service at 3PM followed by burial at Hope Haven Cemetery, Prairieville. Pallbearers will be Melvin Plauche, Jr., Jerrid Plauche, Devin Harrington, Daniel Plauche, Derek Sheese and Joshua Plauche.
