Joseph Benjamin Pierre LaCour Jr.

Joseph Benjamin Pierre LaCour, Jr. passed away after a long battle with cancer on Friday, August 11, 2023 surrounded by family at the age of 63. He was a native of Delhi, LA and a resident of Gonzales, LA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved entertaining his family and friends by playing his guitar and recording his Smokin’ Joe Shows. He was very passionate about his trucking career and the many friends he made along the way. He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Dana LaCour; sons, Benjamin “Ben” LaCour, Lance Little and wife Trish, Lathan Little, and Chance LaCour; grandchildren, Addie, Brock, and Claire Little; mother, Jenette LaCour; and brother, DeWayne LaCour and wife Liz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph LaCour Sr.; brother, Darrell LaCour, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Harry and Willie Mae Guice; paternal grandparents, Henry and Mae LaCour.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Ourso Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. A private interment will take place at a later date.
