John V. Bayham

A Native of Baton Rouge Louisiana and resident of Gonzales, died May 31st 2023 at the age of 65. He was a graduate of Belaire High School. He retired from the job that he loved at DOTD, as a shop superintendent. He loved camping, being with family and friends and drag racing. He loved sharing life stories and knowledge while sitting in his favorite place, his shop. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles J. Bayham & Annie Bayham. Survived by his wife Lynette H. Bayham; daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Doug Hedges; son, Adam Bayham; two sisters and brother-in-law’s, Denise & James Head & Sharron and Danny Mayeux; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Shelley Bayham; grandchildren, Kaylyn, Rylie, & Jordyn Hedges; multiple unofficial grandchildren; godchildren, Brittany Halbert, Blake Bayham and Charles Bussell. Pallbearers will be, Jaxon Schexnayder, Jordan Wheat, Blake Bayham, Charles Laurent, Ethan Mayeux, Chris Head, Griffin Waguespack & Michael Head. Honorary Pallbearers, David Bayham, Doug Hedges , Randy McMorris and James Head. Special thanks to OLOL Ascension ICU, OLOL Baton Rouge MICU and the OLOL Palliative Care unit, for all the care during this difficult time. Family and Friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy., Gonzales, LA, 70737 on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 4pm-7pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Fellowship Church on Hwy 73 in Prairieville, LA from 9 to 11am. Services will begin at 11am. Burial will follow at Mt.
