Jerry Wayne McBride

Jerry Wayne McBride, 58, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and was a resident of Prairieville, LA. He was a 1980 graduate of East Ascension High School. He is survived by his girlfriend, Pam Raiford, and was the proud father of Britney (Ross) Ford, Kylee (Justin) Moody, and Karlee (Blake) McBride. He was the loving grandfather of Aria and Emerson Ford, Halle Jo Moody, Brady Wayne Blackledge, Dawson Blackledge, Bentlee and Ivey Moody. He is also survived by his mother, Gloria McBride Goudeau; sisters, Terri Dinning and Shari Davis; brother, Kerry McBride; many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Jerry was an avid golfer and loved to cook. His cheerful nature made him the life of every party. He enjoyed watching LSU football, and you could guarantee that bets were being made with his brother-in-law, and best friend Donnie over which team would take the victory. He is preceded in death by his father, Louis Wayne McBride. Visitation will be Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Ourso Funeral Home-Gonzales from 10am-12pm with Funeral Services immediately following. Pallbearers include James Bamber, Donnie Dinning, Ross Ford, Justin Moody, Tony Davis, Jacob McBride, Kerry McBride, and Chase Loftin. Jerry’s family is forever grateful to their family, friends, and the staff of Ochsner Hospital for their love, prayers, and support.
