Jeanne Thomassie Stout

Jeanne Stout died peacefully of natural causes at 7:30 AM on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Gonzales Healthcare in Gonzales, LA. She was 88 years of age, a resident and native of Ascension Parish and Parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant LA. Jeanne was a beautician numerous years along with her sister Hilda at Hilda's Beauty Shop in Gonzales and later co-proprietor and accounting manager of Ray's TV and Appliance in Gonzales, The Catfish Farm in St. Amant and of two family operated restaurants in Ascension Parish. Visitation will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church located at 44450 Hwy. 429 in St. Amant on Wednesday, July 30 from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Father Michael Galea at 11 am. Internment to follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be; Paul Roussa, Randy Loupe, Todd Trosclair, Kyle Trosclair, Chad Trosclair and Steve Anderson. She is survived by her Son Lane Stout and his Wife Marie Lambert Stout of Ascension Parish; Grandchildren, Faine Stevens and her Husband Henry Stevens of Nashville TN, Chris Byrd of Mandeville LA; two Great Grandchildren, Marshall Stevens and Derek Logue; two sisters, Brunhill Roussa and Maenell Loupe both of Ascension Parish and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Raymond Louis Stout and Daughter, Ann Stout; Parents Omer Thomassie and Josephine Mayers Thomassie; three sisters, Hilda Mayers, Edith Trosclair, Hermanie Smith and one brother, Roy Thomassie all of Ascension Parish.
