Janet Marie Fontenot

A resident of Prairieville, she passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the age of 59. She is survived by her father, Lucien Templet; son and daughter-in-law, Marvin “Joey” Fontenot Jr. and Paige; boyfriend, Darrell Smith; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vickie Edmonston and Troy, Diane Templet and Robert; brothers and sisters-in-law, Perry Templet and Judy, Larry Templet and Cherie, Kenny Templet and Jennie, Kevin Templet and Laurie; grandchildren, Theressa Cowart, Christopher Fontenot and wife Amber; great grandchild, Brendon Cowart; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Melanie Fontenot; mother, Lois Gautreau Templet; and grandparents, Alcide and Agnes Babin Gautreau, Ovide and Elpha Babin Templet. Visitation will be Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home Friday, June 6, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. until services at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Cornerview Cemetery in Gonzales. Pallbearers will be Perry “Tomp” Templet, Caleb Templet, Christopher Fonetnot, Carey Melancon, Anthony Babin, and Dwight “Dodi” Braud. Honorary pallbearers will be Perry Templet, Larry Templet, Kenny Templet, Kevin Templet, Troy Edmonton, and Robert Stafford.
