James Spencer Gautreaux “Captain Bull” 45, of Gonzales died Monday, July 4th, 2016 unexpectedly. He was born in Baton Rouge on October 20, 1970, son of Al and Anne Gautreaux of Gonzales. Survived by his wife Stacy Manale Gautreaux, brother Joey Gautreaux and wife Dana, sister Paige Gautreaux Maher and husband Mark. Nieces Olivia Maher and Alyssa Lora and spouse Steve; nephews Taylor Gautreaux and Channing Maher; great nieces Cullen and Caylee Lora. James was a tugboat captain for over 20 years where he received his nickname “Captain Bull”. He loved being on the river and considered it his second home. He loved his Great Danes Harlee and Kane and his other fur babies Lexi and Lola. It seems fitting that he earned his wings on the 4th of July because of his love of fireworks. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Albert “TJ” and Katie Gautreaux, maternal grandparents Ed and Blondie Crenshaw and nephew Sawyer Maher. Pallbearers will be Joey Gautreaux, Taylor Gautreaux, Mark Maher, Channing Maher, Brandon Mabile, Steve Lora, Valentino Arriola and Mike Mabile. Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on Saturday July 9, 2016 beginning at 10AM until a celebration of James’ life at 1PM.
