James Michael “Magoo” Britt a resident of Gonzales, La, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 51. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sherrie Read Britt; Son, Michael Ray Britt; daughter, Monette Danielle Britt; mother, Helen Britt Rarick; grandchildren, Tylan Joseph Britt, Harleigh Rae Britt, Brenzlee Lynette Poirrier, Ayden Christopher Wooten, Henleigh Rose Britt, and Hayes Matthew Britt; brothers, Steven Albert Castie and Nicholas Albert Castie; sister, Traci Tyler Hinkie and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Joseph Britt; grandson, James Gabrielle Poirrier and his father, James Albert Castie. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct 18, 2023, from 5 PM – 8 PM and will resume on Thursday, Oct 19, 2023, from 9 AM until funeral service at 11 AM at Ourso Funeral Home 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, La.
