Ivy Delatte

ST. AMANT-Ivy Delatte, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Gonzales Health Care Center surrounded by his family. He was a native of Whitehall and a resident of St. Amant. Ivy was a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of the VFW. He is survived by his children, Ronnie Delatte and wife, Nana, Collette Bourgeois and husband, Mark , Cindy Duplessis and husband, Lonnie, Brad Delatte and wife, Mary, Chris Delatte and wife, Sue, Ted Delatte and wife Mindy; grandchildren, Jason Duplessis and wife, Mia, Niki Melancon and husband, Derek, Jonathan Delatte and wife, Ashly, Kayla Oubre and husband, Randy, Sr., Trisha Louque and husband, Chad, Sarah Delatte and fiancé, TJ Bryan, Tessa Tripp, Jennie Delatte, Austin Harris; great-grandchildren, Brady and Connor Duplessis, Megan and Preston Melancon, Caden and Cole Louque, Randy Oubre Jr. and siblings, Doris Babin, Melvin Delatte and wife, Gladys, Bobbie Keller and husband, Ruben. Ivy was preceded in death by his wife, Joel “Put” Babin Delatte; parents, Frank Delatte and Hilda LeBourgeois Delatte; brother, Alvin Delatte and grandchild, Jodie Duplessis. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church ( 44450 Hwy 429 St. Amant, LA 70774). Rev. Michael Galea will celebrate the Mass. Entombment will follow immediately at Holy Rosary Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Delatte, Jason Duplessis, Derek Melancon, Chad Louque, TJ Bryan and Austin Harris. Randy Oubre Sr. will serve as honorary pallbearer.
