Italia Terry Gautreau, a resident of St. Amant, LA passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the age of 84. She loved to be on a boat fishing or just be out on the water. Even though she loved the outdoors she also had a creative mind. She could do any kind of craft imaginable, from making Christmas ornaments to crocheting. She was able to sew anything from sight, making her own patterns from newspapers. Of all the things she was passionate about, her family held the biggest part of her heart, and she loved them all immensely. She is survived by her son, Todd “Spanky” Gautreau (Maria); her daughter, Lisa Gautreau Kling; grandchildren, Jessica Gautreau Roland, Erika Gautreau (fiancé Ethan Paul), Kristina Kling, and Kristopher Kling (Jessica Mayers); great-grandchild, Edward “Hardy” Roland; sisters: Yvonne Melancon and Debra Bonifay (Mike); brother and sisters-in-law, Edward Terry (Brenda) and Jeanie Lambert; and brothers-in-law, Kern Gautreau and Barney Gautreau. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Tut” Gautreau; parents, Hiram and Sue Terry; in-laws, Allie and Vivan Gautreau; sisters and brother-in-law, Algeria Terry and Ann Paille (Bobby); brothers, Michael Terry and Millard Terry; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Verla and William Lambert, Rita and Billy Gautreaux, Iris Gautreau, Maggie Gautreau, John “Coonie” and Geraldine Gautreau, Edmond Lambert, Felton and Nita Gautreau, Percy Melancon and John McLaurin. Visitation for Italia will be on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 9 am until the funeral service at 11am at Ourso Funeral Home 13533 Airline Hwy Gonzales, La. She will be laid to rest at Hope Haven Cemetery, 604 E. Hwy 30, Gonzales, La. Pallbearers will be Kristopher Kling, Edward Hardy Roland, Russ Templet, Randy Lanoux, Rafe Gautreau and Dennis Melancon.
