Horace J. Arceneaux, 104, a native and resident of Gonzales, LA., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was a World War 2 Veteran where he proudly served in the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tending to his garden, and cherished time with his friends sipping on a nice cup of coffee. He had a love for animals. He will be missed dearly by his family, especially his little girl, Carol. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta Maria Pezzolla; son, Daniel Luke “Danny” Arceneaux; grandsons, Daniel Luke Arceneaux, Jr and Brady Joseph Arceneaux; parents, Odressee and Luticia Arceneaux; sisters, Margaret Arceneaux and Mabel Arceneaux Lanoux; and brothers, Linden Arceneaux, Adam Arceneaux, and Ollie Arceneaux. He is survived by his daughter, Carol (Larry Daigle) Arceneaux Guitreau; daughter-in-law, Virginia Arceneaux; grandsons, Glenn David Guitreau, Donny David Guitreau, Wayne Tony Arceneaux, Gary Paul Arceneaux, and Billie Joe Arceneaux; 16 great grandkids, and 23 great-great grandkids. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church in Gonzales on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm. Committal service will follow at Hope Haven Mausoleum on Hwy 30.
