Helen Theresa Babin LeBeau passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in St. Amant at the age of 86 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Gonzales and resided in St. Amant.
Helen is survived by 6 daughters, Carol L. Marcus, Linda L. Averett (Donald), Jacqueline A. LeBeau, Gail LeBeau, Janet L. Lambert (Ricky) and Joy St. Pierre; 3 sons, Eddie P. LeBeau (Catherine), Joseph D. LeBeau (Mary), James R. LeBeau (Tracy); 33 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren with another due in March; 21 great-great grandchildren; 2 great-great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters Nira B. Philippe, Barbara B. Braud and 1 brother, Mark Babin (Debbie).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie “Pip” LeBeau, parents, Alexander and Elna Gautreau Babin; grandchildren, Mindy Marcus and Thomas J. LaValley; brother, Perry Babin; sons-in-law, Rufus Guedry and Bob Marcus and brother-in-law, Robert S. Braud.
Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 6PM – 9PM and will resume at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 9AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM, celebrant Rev. Joshua Johnson. Interment will follow immediately at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery.
