Helen passed from this life and returned to our Lord on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the age of 74. Helen was born in Magnolia, Mississippi on January 1, 1939 to Adele and Haney Tarver. She spent her life devoted to her family. She was a blessing to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, spending the vast majority of her time caring for them all. Mama, Maw Maw and TuTu, she answered to each one. She married the love of her life, Sidney Brogan Sr., on June 29, 1957 and never looked back, standing by his side through all the storms in life, putting her faith in the Lord first and foremost. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, Friday March 22 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday at 8:30 a.m. until services at 10:00 a.m., officiated by the Rev. Charles Marceaux. Helen will be laid to rest at Palmetto Methodist Cemetery in Palmetto, La at 1:00 p.m. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Sidney Brogan Sr.; her Children, daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Todd Kling of Geismar La, son and daughter-in-law, Sidney Jr. and Debbie Brogan of Prairieville, La, daughter and son-in-law, Betty Ann and Kenneth Milton of Prairieville, La and daughter and fiancé, Linda Landrum and Kent Gautreaux of French Settlement, La; grandchildren, Rebecca, T.J., Laura, Bill, Lynde, Matthew, Brandi, Sydni, Britnee and Jacob, great-grandchildren; Breelyn, Scott, Hunter, Maddie, Hayden, Zach, Emma, Lane and Shelbi, Sisters and Brothers; Betty Jean and husband Thomas Brogan, Linda Sue, Mildred Ann and husband Millard Ford, Harold Tarver, John Tarver and wife Joy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Adele and Haney Tarver; Sister, Louise Tarver; Brothers, Haney Tarver Jr., Wayne Tarver and Henry Tarver; Nephews, Will Tarver, Scott Tarver and Randy Ford. Pallbearers will be Thomas Brogan Jr., Robert Brogan, Kenneth Milton, Todd Kling, T.J. Lambert and Matthew Sandifer. Honorary Pallbearer is Bill Lambert. Special thanks to LaChristy Williams-Shields for taking such good care of Mama over the past few weeks and her loving devotion to our family over the last three years.
