Gary Winston Walker, a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Prairieville, passed away at home surrounded by family on Monday, February 5, 2024 at the age of seventy-two after an eight year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He leaves to be with Christ and is no longer in pain and is no longer confused. A devoted husband and loving father, Gary was an exceptional and loyal employee of several Louisiana employers, including his father. He was preceded in death by his father, George Wesley Walker; mother, Dorothy Thames Walker; and sister, Patsy Walker Graham. He is survived by his immediate family, his wonderful wife of 35 years, Donna Whiddon Walker; daughter, Katie Walker; and son, Griffin Walker. He is also survived by father-in-law, Don Whiddon and his wife, Joe Whiddon; mother-in-law, Gloria Whiddon; brother and sister-in-laws, Spike Hogan and Kitty Hogan; brother and sister-in-law, David Lindberg and Jinger Whiddon; brother-in-law, John Graham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
