Gary Paul Gautreaux, 50, a resident of Carville, LA, met his untimely death on Saturday, August 6, 2016. Gary was born in Baton Rouge, LA on March 3, 1966, to Malcolm and Doris (Dot) Gautreaux. Gary was a graduate of Broadmoor High School. He served in the United States Marine Corp for 7 years, he received the good conduct medal, he was a rifle expert and pistol sharpshooter. Gary was presently active in the Louisiana National Guard for the past 16 years as a Staff Sergeant (SSG) working in the Information Technology Program.
Gary is survived by his son Evan Gautreaux, sisters Mona M Bruner and Gail Gautreaux, his brothers Randy and Tim Gautreaux, special friends Rebecca Cronan and Gerald (Buck) Flowers.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Nathan (Shon) & Ozile Babin Gautreaux, Marshall & Lela Broussard James.
Gary was an amazing father to Evan spending as much time as humanly possible with him. Evan was his pride and joy. He also liked golfing, sailing, and traveling. Gary was an avid LSU fan no matter what the sport.
Visitation will be held Monday August 15th, 9am until 11am his funeral service will be at 11am, at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, burial will at 2:30pm in the Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, LA
