Faye LeBlanc Delatte, a native and life-long resident of Gonzales, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the age of 76. Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Ya Ya Sisters and also a member of the Tuesday Sewing Group. She worked as a secretary at LSU Extension Service and retired from Turner Industry. Faye is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Gary Delatte; daughters, Debbie Waggenspack and husband, Lenny, Tammy Sides and husband, Mark, Misty Whittington and husband, Allen; sons, Don Delatte and wife, Helen, Steve Delatte and wife, Missy; sister, Cecilia Wright; grandchildren, Ryan and Cory Sides, Grant and Garrett Waggenspack, Jacob, Kristen, Nicholas and Brett Delatte, Jodi Burgett, Rafe Delatte, Adam, Jonathan, Shelby, Emma Whittington; great grandchildren, Michael and Amelia Waggenspack, Preston, Abrie, and Kaley Sides, Keegan Delatte, Grace Farve and 2 more on the way. Faye is preceded in death by her parents Ola and Adam LeBlanc; son, Gary Delatte, Jr.; sisters Marie Bercegeay and Elsie Gregoire. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a rosary being said at 7:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am celebrated by Fr. Eric Gyan. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory in Gonzales.
