Emily Agnes Landry

Emily Agnes Thoms Landry, a resident of St. Amant, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the age of 85. Emily was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She deeply enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Emily is survived by her daughter, Monica Landry Faucheux and husband, Donald; son, Joseph Landry and wife, Monica; brothers, Donald Thoms and Norman Thoms; grandchildren, Ashely Roussel, James Landry, Leslie Laws, Allison Faucheux, Trey Faucheux ; great-grandchild, Kenzie Roussel. Emily is preceded in death by her loving husband, J.Y. Landry, Jr.; parents, Ventress and Ada Thoms; sisters, Louise Talbot, Mary Godbold; brothers, Ventress Thoms, Jr., Henry Thoms, Dewey Thoms. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow at Prairieville Community Cemetery. James Landry, Trey Faucheux, Jason Roussel, Shane Laws, Joshua Attuso, Jimmy Godbold will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to give a special thanks to Amedysis Hospice for their kindness and caring and her caretaker Chona.
