Ellen Leyser Kaigler

Ellen Leyser Kaigler, a native of Otis, LA and resident of Gonzales, La passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the age of 94. Loving mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she enjoyed gardening and cooking in her spare time and was known for her Thanksgiving feasts. She had a kind spirit and loving heart and loved the Lord. She is survived by her 5 children, John Kaigler, Jr. and wife, Sandra, Carolyn Elrod, Kathleen Bardwell and husband, Joe, Patricia Edmonston and husband, Dempsey, Evie Ficklin; brother, Willard Leyser; sister, Lois Dagnon; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Kaigler, Sr.; parents, Evie and Corbett Leyser; sister Helen Marcantel; brother Allen "Jack" Leyser. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 10:00 am until Funeral Service at 11:30 am officiated by Rev. Joby Hartner. Interment will immediately follow a Galvez Baptist Church cemetery.
