A resident of St. Amant, he passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012. He was 74 years old and a retired electrician for local union 995. He is survived by his loving wife, Italia Terry Gautreau; daughter, Lisa G. Kling; son, Todd “Spanky” Gautreau; two sisters and three brothers-in-law, Rita and John Gautreaux, Jeanie and Edmond Lambert, and William Lambert; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Felton Gautreau, Kern and Iris Gautreau, and Barney Gautreau; four grandchildren, Jessica Gautreau and husband, Dennis Roland, Erika Gautreau, Kristina Kling, and Kristopher Kling; mother-in-law, Sue Terry; four sisters-in-law, Yvonne McLaurin, Ann Paille and husband, Bobby, Algeria Terry, and Debra Bonifay and husband, Mike; and three brothers-in-law, Michael Terry, Millard Terry, and Edward Terry and wife, Brenda. Preceded in death by his parents, Allie and Vivian Braud Gautreau; sister, Verla Lambert; brother, John “Coonie” Gautreau; father-in-law, Hiram Terry; three sisters-in-law, Maggie, Nita, and Geraldine Gautreau; and two brothers-in-law, Percy Melancon and John McLaurin. A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Friday, May 25, 2012 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Saturday, May 26, 2012 from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Gonzales.
