Dwight "Doddy" Braud, a resident of Prairieville, La passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at the age of 74. He is survived by his son, Dwight "Lil Doddy" Braud (Shantel); daughter, Penny Braud Stone (Charlie); grandchildren, Raeven Holmes, Dakota Bercegeay (Kaitlyn), Ashley Crawford (Justin), Darian Bercegeay, Derrik Bercegeay (Megan), Justin Braud; great grandchildren, Collin, Cayson, Piper, Dominic, Blakely, Braxton, Brantley, Jensen, Laine, Stella, Silas, Kenzlee, Britton, and Camden; special loved one, Sylvia Geismar; nieces, Dana Brenn (Dowell), Lana Foster (Bob), DeeAnn Tassin (Carey), and Leah Millet (Chance). He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Hulin Braud; parents, Gill and Audrey Smith Braud; brother, Byron C. Braud; and Godmother, Beverly Collins. Visitation for Doddy will be on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 9 am until service at 11 am at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 AIrline Hwy Gonzales, La. He will be laid to rest at Hope Haven Cemetery, Prairieville, La. Pallbearers will be, Derrik Bercegeay, Darian Bercegeay, Dakota Bercegeay, Charles Stone, Chance Millet, Dowell Brenn, honorary pallbearers, Charles Pitre, Brett Smith, and Hayden Melancon.
