Dorothy Jean “Dot” McCrory, a resident of Gonzales, LA was called home by the Lord on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the age of 91. Dot’s livelihood was apparent in how she loved the Lord and her family. Especially her little Maesyn. Dot was the sweetest, kindest, and gentlest soul who touched many lives in admirable ways. Her memory will live on by all who knew her. Dot is survived by her son, Barry McCrory; granddaughter, Trish Singletary and her husband Darrin, great granddaughter, Maesyn; her sister-in-law, Delmy Miles; her extended families of John W. Babin, Sr., and Loy “Sonny” McCrory; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Lee Sr., and Mildred Yates Miles; husbands, Jack Dempsey McCrory, John W. Babin Sr., and Loy “Sonny” McCrory; sisters, Audrey Smith, Sybil Sibley, Ola Mae Myers, and brother, Edward Lee Miles Jr. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, LA on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:30 am. She will be laid to rest in Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Prairieville, La. Serving as pallbearers are, Nolan Sibley, Bruce Miles, Brad Miles, Omar Lopez, Alex Lopez, David Neal, David deVeer, Trampas Hebert, Don Havard, and Edward Myers.
