Debra Ficklin Delatte affectionately known as “Debi” age 54, a native of Prairieville, La and resident of Maurepas, La. gained her wings on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Debi was born to Leon and Margaret Ficklin on Sept 12, 1967. Debi was a devoted mother, wife and Mimi. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and in boats, watching horror movies, loving her two dogs Gladiator and Sofie Girl, but what brought her the most joy were her two grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Anyone who truly knew Debi, knew she was a spunky, little spitfire. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Alvin Delatte Jr.; three children, Sabrina Kay Berthelot (Brandon), Brad Jay David Jr. (Amy), and Tabatha Kacy David (Max); 2 grandchildren, Braxton James Berthelot and Cheyenne Elizabeth David; 3 step-grandchildren, Shelby Lee Decker, Saige Madison Berthelot and Vera Rose Callagen, a sister, Crystal Ficklin, a brother, Butch Ficklin and numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret B. Ficklin and father, Leon J. Ficklin; brother, Fred Ficklin, grandparents, aunts and uncles and many extended family members. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Ourso Funeral Home on Wednesday, Aug 31, 2022 from 5 pm till 8 pm and will resume on Thursday, Sept 1, 2022 at 9 am. Funeral service will be at 11 am. Debi will be laid to rest in Ficklin Cemetery. Gathering to follow at Berthelot’s Hall, 45110 Stringer Bridge Rd. Pallbearers will be Brandon Berthelot, Max Callagen, Tony Thomassie, Edgar Cruz, Dwayne Moran and David “3D” Thomas.
