Deborah heard those words from her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and received her miracle on May 3, 2022, when she stared into the face of Jesus. She was reunited in Heaven with her daddy Richard Miller Sr. and surrounded by those she loved. Deborah was a resident of Denham Springs, LA. She was known by many names: Deborah Jean, Debbie, Mommy, Mom, Mommie Mommie, and Maw Maw, just to name a few. No matter what you called her, she was always there to serve. She was a woman after God’s own heart. She leaves a legacy of Godliness, a true example of the love of Jesus. She always put her family and friends before herself. Her legacy reaches far beyond those she touched personally, as they, in turn, served others using the example she set in life for them. Most of her life Deborah worked as an Administrative Assistant at Praise Tabernacle/Praise Family Church and its school The Word Academy. Later in her career she was Legislative Assistant for State Representative Valarie Hodges. She worked tirelessly for multiple charities and Christian organizations. Deborah is survived by her loving husband of 46 years Ralph Walker; son Ralph Walker Jr., and wife Tricia; daughters, Melissa Walker Beatty and husband Stephen, and Jessica Walker Price and husband Andrew; grandchildren, Julia Rose Rene’ Walker, Savannah Grace Beatty, Ava Claire Beatty, and Brayden Noah Price; loving mother Barbara Jean Miller; sisters, Patricia Dunaway and husband Larry, and Pamela Sherman and husband Sandy; brother Richard Miller Jr., and wife Billie; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Miller and sister-in-law, Terry Miller. Home Going Celebration will be held at Abundant Life Church in Denham Springs on Friday, May 6, 2022. Family visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Visitation will open to the public at 10:00 am. Her Celebration will begin at 12:00 pm with burial to follow at Amite Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to The Capital Area Law Enforcement Foundation (CALEF). This organization was something very near and dear to her heart. It provides protective vests to help protect the lives of her son and his brothers in blue. Please add in memory of Deborah Walker in the comments section of the site when you donate @www.calef.la.
