Corbin P. "Bean" Gautreaux

Corbin P. “Bean” Gautreaux Sr., a native of Prairieville and resident of Ascension Parish, passed away on Monday October 29, 2018 at the age of 88. Bean was a long time employee of Gulf States Utilities and Ascension Insulation Inc. He served proudly with the Prairieville Fire Department for many years. Bean is survived by his loving wife, Myra C. Gautreaux; grandchild, Jackie Gautreaux; step children, Allyn Stroud and Willis “Chip” Chaney Jr.; daughter-in-law, Peggy Gautreaux; great-grandchildren, J.T. Guirard, Shan Barton, Sherre Shaw, Kyle Chaney, Meagan Shaw, Eric Shaw, Hunter Barton, Elizabeth Claire Barton, Lloyd Barton, Bella Barton; great-great-grandchildren, Mealyn Jones and Lincoln Shaw. Bean is preceded in death by his first wife, Eula Lee Spillman Gautreaux; son Corbin “Paul” Gautreaux Jr. and 3 siblings. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Prairieville Community Cemetery.
