It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cayden Jude Dupre, age 23, a beloved native of Baton Rouge, LA, and resident of Prairieville, LA. Cayden departed from this world on Sunday, March 3, 2024. Cayden was a graduate of St. Amant High School, where he forged lifelong friendships and left an indelible mark. Known for his unwavering enthusiasm for sports, Cayden was a massive football and basketball fan. Beyond the field and court, Cayden harbored a true passion for writing and producing music, a talent that brought joy to those around him. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Glenn Dupre. Cayden leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Reese Roussel; devoted mother, Kimberly Cook; caring father, Christophor Dupre; supportive brothers, Cole Dupre and Connlee Dupre; loving sisters, Brittany Cook and Destinee Dupre; and his grandparents, Angela Dupre, Louis, and Janice Cook. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation for Cayden, which will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ourso Funeral Home, located at 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737. Visitation will resume on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 8:30 AM until the service at 10:00 AM, also at Ourso Funeral Home. A committal service will follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory Mausoleum, located at 37577 Duplessis Rd., Prairieville, LA. Honoring Cayden as pallbearers will be Cole Dupre, Christopher Piper, Brycen Fostor, Connlee Dupre, Destin Delmore, Byron Turner, Landon Ledet, and Brendan Judice. In this time of mourning, we find solace in the memories we shared with Cayden. His vibrant spirit and kind heart will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
