A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and resident of Gonzales, she passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was the retired owner of Bruno’s Grocery and wife of the late Ignatius “Nick” Bruno. She was 80 and a native of Amite. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Thursday, April 8, from 5pm to 9pm. Visiting will resume at St. Mark Catholic Church on Friday from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Entombment to follow in Hope Haven Mausoleum, Prairieville. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Bruno Picou; 2 sons, Craig Bruno and wife, Deborah and Ralph Bruno and wife Debbie; 4 grandchildren, Vincent Bruno and wife, Julie, Damon Bruno and wife Jeanette, Luke Waddell, and Natia Green; 11 great grandchildren, Colin Bruno, Logan Green, Alexa Green, Lani Green, Anna Bruno, Abby Bruno, Dane Bruno, Coy Bruno, Drew Bruno, Allie Gremillion, and Derek Gremillion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ignatius “Nick” Bruno; parents, Vincent Gulino and Dorothy Sparacino Gulino; brother, Ciro Gulino; and sisters, Marie Rispone, Rosalie Rispone, and Loretta Guarino. Pallbearers will be Luke Waddell, Vincent Bruno, Damon Bruno, Patrick Bruno, Matthew Bruno, Christopher Bruno, and Louis Salario. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Misita, Anthony Bruno Jr., Eddie Rispone, and Conrad Picou Jr. She was a very active member of St. Mark Catholic Church. Her spirituality and the joy she brought to us will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. The family would like to express its deep gratitude to the physicians and staff of St. Elizabeth and Our Lady of the Lake Hospital for their care and compassion shown to our mother.
