Carol Ann Dupuy Guerin, a resident of Prairieville, Louisiana, passed away on April 17, 2024, at the age of 80. Born in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana, Carol Ann led a life filled with love, family, and devotion. She found immense joy in the presence of her beloved husband, James Guerin, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered around their four children, Michelle (and Daniel) Langlois, Jason (and Kris), Mark, and Yvette (and John) Steckler, who were the light of her life. Carol Ann's warmth and love extended to her 11 grandchildren, bringing endless smiles and laughter to their lives. Carol Ann was known for her culinary talents, especially her famous fried chicken, which became a staple at family gatherings. She found true happiness in cooking for her loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished forever. A passionate traveler, Carol Ann and James embarked on countless adventures across the country, instilling a love for exploration in their children, who continue this tradition today. Their travels were not just journeys but opportunities to bond and create lifelong memories as a family. Throughout her life, Carol Ann remained steadfast in her faith as a devout Catholic and dedicated parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Her spirituality was the foundation of her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for others. Carol Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Hazel Dupuy, and her brother, Ted Dupuy. She is survived by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, and a large extended family, including six siblings, nieces, and nephews, who will carry her memory in their hearts forever. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the visitation, which will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on April 19, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Catholic Funeral Mass will take place on April 20, 2024, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 1:30 pm, preceded by a short visitation at 12:45 pm. Following the Mass, a reception will be held in the church hall, where loved ones can gather to celebrate Carol Ann's life and legacy. Carol Ann's legacy of love, faith, and family will forever be cherished and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the warmth of the love she shared with the world.
