Retired dredge boat diesel mechanic, chief engineer, buyer and consultant with CF Bean and Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel. He then began working at home doing the things he loved, small engine repair, grass cutting, and fishing. Preceded in death by parents, Benjamin F. Pape Sr., Iva Simmons Pape, and brother, Benjamin F. Pape Jr. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Julia "Pat" McIntyre Pape; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Leroy Hebert, Lisa and Stephan Babin, Carla and Brett Rushing; son, and daughter-in-law, Carl "Randy" and Ramona Pape; grandchildren and spouses, Jason Duncan, Michael and Alice Babin, Miranda and Mark Colligan, Kade and JoAnn Babin, Justin and Jayna Babin, Robbie and Kayla Pape, Chase Pape, Kelly Pape, Miranda Rains, Crista Lynn Craig, Wesley Craig, Ty Hebert, Emma Hebert, Torriee Parent. 18 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Chuck and Lola Pape Chaka, Wayne and Sue Pape, Kenneth and Karen Pape, and Larry and Iva Pape Slack. Numerous nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, LA on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 7pm to 9pm. Visiting will resume at St. John Catholic Church on Thursday from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial to follow in Oak Lane Memorial Park.
