Mr. Carl Chauvin

Carl Chauvin a loving father and grandfather, passed away Friday May 28, 2021 at his home in Union, LA. He was 83, born June 22, 1937, a native and resident of Union. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum, Gramercy with 33.5 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family, spending time outdoors, watching sporting events involving his grandchildren and he truly loved helping others. He is survived by his 2 daughters and son-in- laws, Terri (Shawn) Degnan, Prairie Village, Kansas, and Christy (Chad) Bourgeois of Paulina, and a cherished godson, Joseph Mitchell of Corpus Christi, Texas; six grandchildren, Casey Hart, Kayla (Cody) Chittum, Regan (Eric) Jacob, Payton Blanchard, Kori (Cody) Warner, Kolby Bourgeois; great grandchild, Baby Warner; and sister, Elise Martin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Valerie Bergeron Chauvin; daughter, Kelly Blanchard; parents, Adolph and Henrietta Chauvin; uncle, Ernest (Poncho) Louviere; brothers, Curtis, Terry Chauvin; and sister, Gail Sanchez. Visitation will be at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Convent, LA from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Thursday June 3, 2021 with Father Vincent Dufrense. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, LA.
