Brenda Smith Brignac, age 75, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017. She was a native of Houston, Texas and a resident of Gonzales, Louisiana. Brenda loved South Louisiana and the friendly Cajun people. She never met a stranger.
Brenda was a member of St. Theresa of Avila Church where she served as an Extraordinary Eucharistic minister. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters since 2007 and a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy since 2010.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Winston J. Brignac; her precious daughter Lynette Thibeau married to Michael Thibeau; grandchildren, Lexie and Koby Thibeau.
Winston’s children: a daughter, Paula and husband, Todd Roussel and their children, Hannah and Brooke; a son, Andy Brignac and wife Chantell and their children Logan and Jace.
Brenda is also survived by a twin sister, Linda Everett; niece, Natalie Everett; nephew, Carry Everett and wife, Sandy, and their daughter Callie, all of Humble, Texas; a special niece, Judy Honohan of Houston, Texas, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her father, Charlie Smith; mother, Willie Mae Smith; three brothers and two sisters; her first husband, Hubert Gautreaux, and second husband, Samuel Boudreaux.
There will be a two hour visitation held at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 9 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.
