A native of Mississippi and resident of Gonzales, he passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the age of 96. He was a 32° Mason with New River Lodge, No. 402 F&AM. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Dupuis and Larry, Maynelle May and Keith; son and a daughter-inlaw, Don Banks and Karen; grandchildren, Theron Powell, Sherri Hanna, Benjamin Banks, Heather Glatt, Brian May; great grandchildren, Christian Powell, Whitney Powell, Zachary Wells, Hailey Wells, Brian May Jr., Carter May, and Olivia May. Preceded in death by his wife, Elnora Young Banks; parents, Maggie Lee and Benjamin Banks; two sisters; and three brothers.
