Baulty “B.B.” Ouber, age 95 and a resident of Maurepas La passed away on August 2, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was the firstborn of 1o children to Bennie and Mary Ida Lambert Ouber in Livingston, La. He was an avid reader and loved gardening, hunting, and fishing. He graduated from Istrouma High School. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean War. B.B. is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Geraldine “Jerry” Vampran Ouber; children, Barry Ouber (Janeen), Everett Ouber (Janet), Angela Ouber Dutel, and Richard Ouber; sister, Flo Ouber Jordan; brother, Jimmie Ouber; Grandchildren, Brandi Ouber Alphonso (Jack), Kerri Ouber LaRose (Brant), Louis Dutel IV, and Colton McIntosh; and great-grandchildren, Emmett Alphonso, Elija Alphonso and Zechariah LaRose. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Mary Ida Lambert Ouber, and his siblings, Ida Ann Hughes, Sue Taylor, Linda Johnson, Leona Schultz, Richard “Dick” Ouber, Alex Ouber, and J.B. Ouber. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm at St. Stephens Catholic Church, Maurepas, La. He will be laid to rest at Maurepas Cemetery. Pallbearers are, Lee Vampran, Jack Alphonso, Louis Dutel IV, Paul Ouber, Dylan Tarrow, and Wyndell Johnson.
