Barbara Schmidt Schmidt Stieber

Barbara died peacefully on Sunday May 14, 2017 at the age of 74 surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was a proud native of New Orleans and a resident of Prairieville, LA. She retired as the Chief Import Clerk for SeaLand Services of New Orleans. A memorial gathering to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, LA on Saturday May 20, 2017 from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 am celebrated by Rev. Jerry Martin. Barbara is survived by her best friend and husband of 58 years Wallace W. Stieber of Prairieville, LA. Barbara is also survived by her children Dana Stieber of New Orleans, LA, Tara and Damon Gonzales of Prairieville, LA and Craig Stieber of New Orleans, LA, sister Sandra Musacchia, grandchildren Madison and Christopher DeWitt, Molly Toepfer, Santino Gonzales, Angelo Gonzales and Ericka Stieber and great-grandchildren John Wallace, Malaki and Lyrik.
