Arilla A Simpson

Arilla Simpson, a resident of Colyell, La. passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the age of 90. She is survived by her daughter, Henrietta “Henkie” Gordon (Dale Aydell); son, Clinton Darrel Simpson Sr. (Karen); sister, Billie Averett Watts (Randy); 10 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived; sister-in-law, Delma Lea Averett and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Persie C. Simpson; children, Danny F. Simpson Sr., Kenneth C. Simpson, Brian D. Simpson, Persie C. Simpson Jr., and Lillie O. Simpson; sisters, Barbara “Bobbie” Ardoin, and Eugvia Averett and brother, L.C. Averett. Visitation for Arilla will be held on Mon, January 23, 2023 from 9 am until funeral at 10 am at Colyell Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Colyell Community Cemetery.
