Anthony Bernard “Tony” Persica passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at the age of 30. Anthony was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Prairieville, LA. He was a graduate of St. Amant High School. He worked in construction for many years. In his free time Anthony was a gifted artist. He also enjoyed being an umpire for youth baseball and was a huge Saints fan.
He is survived by his mother, Tracy Louise Mayo; father, Wayne Michael Persica, Jr. and bonus mom, Chastity Persica; grandparents, Robert and Peggy Esposito, Diana Persica; brothers, Tanner Jerome Mayo and wife Tristyn, and Stevie Voiron; sisters, Hannah Persica, Taylor Persica, Tori Lanning, Kristen Cognevich; nephews; Lennox Paul Mayo; cousins, Jake and Jay Mayo; special Uncle/Godfather, Jerome “J.J.” Mayo; aunt/Godmother, Kimberly “Meme” Esposito (Joshua Lowery); girlfriend, Johnnielynn Arthur. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Wayne Michael Persica, Sr.; great grandparents, Evelyn Ruth Hill, George Tullos, Sr., James and Yvonne Esposito; uncle, Robert Tullos.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy Gonzales, LA 70737 at 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. A Funeral Service will immediately follow, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Carpenter Chapel Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are, Tanner Mayo, Jerome Mayo, Jay Mayo, Zachary Coulton, Jacob Tullos, Wayne Persica, Wade Persica, and Robert Esposito.
