Alvin passed away peacefully at his home in Gonzales on Friday, Dec. 10, 2010. He worked at Boudreaux's Catering and had retired from Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center as a purchasing agent. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Gautreau-Williams American Legion Post 81. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on Sunday, Dec. 12, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church in Gonzales on Monday, Dec. 13, from 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. celebrated by the Rev. Gary Belsome. Interment to follow in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales. He is survived by a son, Lyall Boudreaux, of Gonzales; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharla and Rodney Young, of St. Amant; three brothers and five sisters-in-law, Marcus and Aline Boudreaux, Roland and Betty Boudreaux, Oakley Boudreaux, Anna Mae LeBeau, Winnie and Betty B. Boudreaux, all of Gonzales; two grandchildren, Tiffanie and husband Nicholas Lemonds, of Gonzales and Brittanie Young, of St. Amant; and three great-grandchildren, Jenna, Harleigh and Gavin Lemonds, all of Gonzales. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Alonzo Boudreaux; parents, Lawless and Lucinda Boudreaux; four sisters, Eulalie Kling, Clara Mayers, Luella Daigle and Irma V. Hernandez; and six brothers, Lawless Jr., Gary, Aubert, Leroy, Calvin and Matthew Boudreaux. Pallbearers will be Malcolm Daigle, Rick Vallet, Michael Moore, Wayne Daigle, Robert Johnson, Irvin Boudreaux, Nicholas Lemonds and Tyler Bonin. Please offer your condolences at www.oursofh.com.
