Allen Joseph Lambert

Allen Joseph Lambert, age 86, a native of Sorrento, LA and resident of Gonzales, LA, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024. He was a retired Allstate Agent of 38 years, a proud U.S. Army National Guard Veteran, and dedicated Church Usher for over 25 years. Known for his adventurous spirit, Allen was an avid hiker who loved hunting, fishing, and various sports. A true people person, he cherished every moment and had a special fondness for traveling, exploring the landscapes of the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Born to John and Mabel Lambert, Allen was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gerald Lambert. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Joyce Stevens Lambert; his sons, Brian, Michael, and Mark Lambert, George and Steve Allen; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; his sisters, Glynell Templet, Delbra Templet, and Myra Melancon; and his brothers, Byron and Randy Lambert. A visitation for Allen will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737. The funeral service will take place at 12:00 PM, followed by a committal service at 1:00 PM at Serenity Oaks Memorial Park, 15304 Hwy 73, Prairieville, LA. Pallbearers honored to serve include Chase Allen, Alec Falgoust, Matt Smith, Randy Lambert, Wade Templet, and Bret Templet.
