Alice Edith Templet "Jimmie" LeBlanc

Alice Templet LeBlanc, a resident of Sorrento and native of St. Amant, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 12:45 pm, surrounded by her family. She was 82 and a retired bookkeeper. She was a member of Catholic Daughters, St. Anne Alter Society, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Sorrento Lions Club, and numerous volunteer groups. She also served as President of Ascension Parish Tourist Commission. Jimmie was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.

Survived by three daughters, Christy LeBlanc Bourgeois and husband Thomas, Gonzales; Lisa LeBlanc Acosta and Joe Hood, Denham Springs; and Kelli LeBlanc Sanchez and husband Mike, Gonzales; a son, Todd LeBlanc and wife Tara, Gonzales; two sisters, Judy Sanchez and Sherry Lambert; brother, Terry Templet; eight grandchildren, Brady Bourgeois and wife Christi, Matthew Bourgeois and wife Megan, Erin Acosta, Alli Acosta and Adam Schubert, Chelsea LeBlanc Vicknair and husband Trent, Kyleigh LeBlanc, Christopher Sanchez and Courtney Sanchez; and three great grandchildren, Tucker Bourgeois, Rebecca Bourgeois and Jaxon Schubert.

Preceded in death by her husband, Earl Herman LeBlanc; an infant son; parents, Omer and Carrie Moore Templet; and brothers, Curtis Templet and Jerry Templet.

Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Friday, February 26, from 6 pm to 9 pm. Visiting will resume at St. Mark Catholic Church, Gonzales on Saturday from 8:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Entombment in Holy Rosary Catholic Church Mausoleum, St. Amant.

Pallbearers will be Brady Bourgeois, Matthew Bourgeois, Christopher Sanchez, Trent Vicknair, Adam Schubert, and Michael Templet. Honorary pallbearers are Todd LeBlanc, Thomas Bourgeois, Mike Sanchez, Joe Hood, Tucker Bourgeois, Rebecca Bourgeois and Jaxon Schubert.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area.
