Mark L. Osteen (Lorimor), Age 71, passed away peacefully December 22, 2019 with his wife, Melodee, at his side. Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse L. Osteen and Betty J. Osteen; son, Devin L. Osteen; and brother-in-law, Jack L. Scott. Survived by wife, Melodee R. Osteen (Bulau); son, Dustin L. (Thea) Osteen; three step children, Chris (Dorothy) Doll, Jason (Dallas Jeno) Doll, and Jackie Arnett; 14 grandchildren, one great grandchild; siblings, Cheri (Jerry) Yockel, Clark (Karen Gale) Lorimor, Terri Scott, and Cary (Mary) Lorimor; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Mark lived in Colorado and after high school he joined the Navy for four years. In 1970, he moved to Minnesota and worked in the restaurant business for approximately 30 years, then eight years in a machine shop and another eight years at Cub Foods. When he become ill with Lewy Body Dementia, he retired.
He was a very loving and compassionate man with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed listening to and playing music, playing billiards, and cards. He kept his mind sharp with his love for crossword puzzles. Mark will be greatly missed.
Please join family and friends in a Celebration of Life Gathering located at Gichitwaa Kateri Catholic Church, 3045 Park Ave., Minneapolis MN 55407, on January 11, 2020 from 12pm-4pm. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on January 17, 2020, at 10:30am.
