She is survived By 3 daughters, Christine Ann, Cathy Jean, Mary Elizbeth, dozens and dozens of Grandchildren, and one Great Granddaughter. Sally was born at the end of the great depression on December 8th 1933, in Lincoln Nebraska. Her Mother Maude moved her to Kansas City, Missouri where she was raised on a farm with Maude's sister, her Aunt Myrtle and her Uncle Alva. Sally would soon thereafter become A God fearing Christian in The Brethren Church and would maintain her belief in the bible till her last breath. During high school the family moved her to West Plains Missouri, where she met Her to be husband, Clifford Walker at a local dance. They married when she was 16 and Cliff was 19. Their life was a series of events and they soon relocated to Lakewood, Colorado, where Sally worked as a waitress and raised her 4 dear children. She always said any job she applied for she got “hired on the spot”. She enjoyed serving, and helping people during her life. The many various individuals she has helped during her life are too many to count. She was a very talented musical woman and learned to play the piano and accordion at an early age. Sally played in the church services she attended, and if there was an opportunity to play at a party or family gathering, she would sit down and play many songs, and sing gospel tunes for hours. Clifford and her son Russel who were also gifted musicians, would accompany her on guitar. Cathy, Mary, and Christy who were all talented singers in their own respects, would join in and sing along in harmony making it a musical family affair, worthy of Nashville. Some of the greatest Memories of the three sisters were these very joy filled moments. In 1963 the family moved to Baldwin Park California, because of the growing work opportunities and California economy. Clifford was a truck driver, and would later get hired at Universal Studios Hollywood. They soon thereafter Moved to Hollywood where Sally became an apartment manager on Hollywood Boulevard, While Cliff Drove the trams in the Universal backlot. When Clifford retired they moved to West Covina to be closer to family and In 2003, Clifford went home to be with the Lord. Sally would spend the rest of her years living with her daughter Christy, and husband Bobby in Arizona. Sally loved to play slot machines at the casinos, and go on vacations with her daughters. Sally was a true inspiration by her unconditional love and her strong faith in the lord.
Sally will be greatly missed by all who had the honor and privilege to Know her. There is so much to say about her but that would take a lifetime, so Thank you all for coming and helping say Goodbye to Sally.. This Wonderful Dear Mother.
